A lioness strode easily as her year-old cubs followed on the flats of Amboselli. They entertained me by stopping intermittently to swat and pounce playfully on one another. After one launched an instantaneous attack on its sibling, the two ambled off side by side, occasionally nipping ears and bumping shoulders.
